Step 5: Take the exam and receive a passing score.

Yes, each certification has different prerequisites, so a verification must be conducted.
Refer to your ISP application online and only send the required documents listed.
No. Submit only the documents required by ISP prerequisites for individual certifications.
No. There are no provisions for a temporary certificate while an application is under review. You may not begin using your designation until your certification is issued. On an individual basis one may ask to obtain an expedited request for certification.
The application process is designed to get individuals approved within 48 business hours.
Yes. Paper certificates are printed and mailed. This is because our certification has official crimped logos which identify authenticity. Certification can only be officially verified through ISP.

Yes. Please fill out the application for reciprocity and verify you meet the requirements.
As long as you meet the prerequisites, you are eligible to take the certification assessment. Please make sure to look at the testing requirements.
No. ISP understands that professional positions come with specialized training and continued education. Some careers require numerous certificates. Knowing this, ISP certifications are developed keeping training and continuous education in mind. Knowledge, skills and behaviors are evidence of successful pathways.
Most certifications are good for three years. A few are two year certifications.
Depending on the time lapsed, you may eligible for reinstatement. If within 12 months of your certification expiring, please write a letter of explanation to the certification committee. If you let your ISP certification expire, the Certification Committee will review your circumstances and either approve or decline to reinstate. If your request is denied, your fee would be returned.
